How the Automatic Vacuum Capping Process Works

  1. Cap Sorting (Magnetic Inclined-Disc) – Bulk tinplate lids are poured into the hopper. The magnetic inclined-disc cap elevator lifts lids by magnetic attraction, orients them correctly, and feeds them down a chute to the capping head.

  2. Jar Conveying & Indexing – Jars enter the starwheel or inline indexing system. Sensors detect jar presence and position.

  3. Vacuum & Capping – The capping head lowers over the jar. A vacuum is drawn (either in a small chamber or via a vacuum nozzle), then the capping spindle rotates to apply the metal cover with programmed torque.

  4. Vacuum Release & Rejection – Vacuum is released. The jar exits. An inline vacuum tester checks headspace vacuum; if below setpoint, the jar is automatically rejected.

  5. Continuous Cycle – The machine runs continuously, handling up to 80 jars per minute.
